Find the Pair of Tiles! is a tile-matching game that has elements similar to online Mahjong games. The player finds and removes pairs of animal or numbered tiles from custom patterns.
The animal tiles depict adorable cartoon drawings of different animals, including ants, bats, bumblebees, chickens, donkeys, eagles, fish, giraffes, horses, lions, mice, owls, pandas, rhinos, snakes, spiders and turtles. The numbered tiles display a wide range of white numbers on tan backgrounds. The player custom selects one of the two design options and the number of pattern layers on the home screen.
On the play screen, the player receives an initial hint from the game, which flashes a matching pair. They can use a button marked with a magnifying glass and a number to reveal up to three additional pairs. After they run out of hints, they can access more by watching advertisements.
The game also highlights available uncovered tiles and leaves unavailable ones in shadows. When the player clears all the tiles from the screen, the game displays a new pattern with more layers.
Find the Pair of Tiles! also offers a non-penalty reload button marked with a semicircular arrow above the magnifier button. The player can use it at any time to start over. They can also go back to the home screen to customize their options at any time via a back-arrow button in the upper-left corner.
